GRAND PRAIRIE, Alta. — Earthquakes Canada says a 4.0 magnitude shake was recorded in northern Alberta on Monday evening.
The agency says the earthquake was recorded 165 kilometres east of Grande Prairie, Alta., at 8:58 p.m. local time.
It says there are no reports of damage, and none would be expected.
Earthquakes Canada says there are no "felt" reports of the shake at this time.
The earthquake follows a 3.5 magnitude shake in Keno, Yukon, last Tuesday.
Last month saw six shocks in Canada with the largest being a 4.9 magnitude tremor recorded 129 kilometres west of Port Alice, B.C. on May 22.
