ROCKY VIEW COUNTY, ALTA. — Alberta RCMP say one suspect in a fatal shooting at a rural intersection east of Calgary has been arrested and a second has been identified.

A Rocky View County employee was killed last Tuesday while a worker with utility company Fortis Alberta was injured.

The shooting triggered an emergency alert that lasted several hours and urged local residents to take shelter as two armed and dangerous suspects were on the loose.

RCMP say details on the suspect arrested Sunday will be released once pending charges have been sworn.

The second suspect is described as a 28-year-old man with a light complexion, six-foot-one and 169 pounds, with brown hair and several arm and face tattoos.

Police are warning people not to approach the man if they see him and to call 911 because he is still considered armed and dangerous.
