BOWDEN — The Alberta RCMP major crimes unit is investigating what they describe as a sudden death that occurred in Bowden the evening of March 22.
Police were called to an apartment in the town at 6:33 p.m. after ambulance personnel asked for their assistance.
“A deceased female was located at the scene. The RCMP forensic identification section (FIS) were called in to assist with the investigation along with the RCMP major crimes unit (MCU),” said a news release issued today by Cpl. “There is no threat to the public,” the release added.
The MCU has taken over the investigation.
That night, the street in the area of the old Lions Hall was blocked off and several emergency vehicles could be seen in the area.
