Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes will make his fourth trip to the Winter Olympics as part of Canada's ski jump team announced on Friday.
The team of all Calgary athletes also includes Alexandria Loutitt, Matthew Soukup and Abigail Strate, who are making their Olympic debuts. The team was selected based on World Cup and Continental Cup points over the past two seasons.
"Over the past two qualifying seasons we have been really successful in qualifying all four spots in an extremely high-calibre field," Boyd-Clowes said. "Since my first Olympics, I have never stopped wanting to improve and I have continued to get better over time by adapting both from a technical and knowledge perspective."
Canada will also compete in the inaugural mixed-team event.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced Canada's ski jump team to move their training base to Slovenia. Despite the challenges, the athletes have climbed up the rankings.
Strate had a career-high 13th-place World Cup finish, while Loutitt, the team's youngest member at 18, jumped to a career-high 14th place finish.
"Going to the Olympics to represent Canada has been my dream," Loutitt said. "I appreciate every person who believed wholeheartedly that the tiny girl who said she was going to be an Olympic ski jumper would reach her dream."
Team Canada's best result in Olympic ski jumping Horst Bulau's seventh-place finish in Calgary in 1988.
Ski Jumping is Feb.5-12 at the Zhangjiakou Ski Jumping Centre.
