QMJHL Roundup: Islanders' Colten Ellis makes 22 saves, shuts out Eagles in 4-0 win

SYDNEY, N.S. — Charlottetown Islanders goaltender Colten Ellis made 22 saves in a 4-0 win over the Cape Breton Eagles on Sunday. 

The Islanders got goals from four different goalscorers, Keiran Gallant, Bailey Peach, Noah Laaouan, and Ben Boyd (27-4-0-0) in the victory.

Eagles goalie Nicolas Ruccia made 30 saves on 34 shots in the loss (12-20-1-0).

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que.— Manix Landry scored a hat trick in a 6-2 Gatineau Olympiques victory over the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Gabriel Jackson, Tristan Luneau, and Zachary Dean also scored for the Olympiques. Justin Cote scored a pair of goals for the Voltigeurs.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que.— A goal from Xavier Cormier gave the Rimouski Oceanic a 4-3 overtime win over the Shawinigan Cataractes. Adam Raska, Nathan Ouellet, and Samy Pare also scored for Rimouski. Xavier Bourgault scored twice while Mavrik Bourque added another for Shawinigan.

VAL d'OR, Que.— Justin Robidas scored a goal and an assist in a 4-2 Val d'Or Foreurs win over the Quebec Remparts Sunday. Jakob Pelletier, Nathan Legare, and Maxim Cajkovic also scored for the Foreurs. Mikael Huchette and Charle Truchon scored for Quebec.

SEA DOGS 6 WILDCATS 5

SAINT JOHN, N.B.— Nicholas Girouard scored the game-winning goal with 29 seconds left to give the Saint John Sea Dogs a 6-5 win over the Moncton Wildcats. Vladislav Kotkov scored a pair of goals and added an assist for the Sea Dogs. Jacob Hudson scored a goal and added three assists in a losing effort for the Wildcats.
