Cape Breton Police alert public after shots fired in Sydney Mines, nobody hurt

SYDNEY, N.S. — Police in Cape Breton are asking for help after gun shots were fired at a residence this morning in Sydney Mines, N.s., near North Sydney.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Police in Cape Breton are asking for help after gun shots were fired at a residence this morning in Sydney Mines, N.s., near North Sydney.

The Cape Breton Regional Police issued an advisory saying they're looking for a white Hyundai Elantra with two or three male occupants who may be armed.

They say people should phone police if they see the car, and nobody should approach the vehicle.

The car with license plate HAW 341 was last seen around Purves Street in North Sydney, travelling toward Highway 105.

Police say the shooting occurred on Barrington Street and nobody was injured.

They're treating the shooting as an isolated incident.
