Halifax Regional Police say a 70-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle. Police say the man was hit around 11:20 p.m. Saturday in the area of Main Street and Hartlen Street in Dartmouth.

Halifax Regional Police say a 70-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle.

Police say the man was hit around 11:20 p.m. Saturday in the area of Main Street and Hartlen Street in Dartmouth.

The injured man was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Investigators are asking anyone with information or video from the area where the fatality occurred to contact them.
