Nova Scotia man killed in single-vehicle crash west of Digby: RCMP

CENTRAL GROVE, N.S. — Police in western Nova Scotia are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a man from Scotch Village.

CENTRAL GROVE, N.S. — Police in western Nova Scotia are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a man from Scotch Village.

The RCMP in Digby issued a statement today saying the 42-year-old victim was driving Saturday in Central Grove around 5:30 a.m. when his Mazda 6 veered off Highway 217 and crashed into the ditch.

The driver was the only person in the car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway was closed for several hours and a collision reconstructionist was called in to investigate.

Central Grove is on Digby Neck, about  55 kilometres southwest of Digby.
