Halifax police say a 17-year-old male is facing a manslaughter charge following a homicide earlier this month on the city’s waterfront.
Police say they received a report of a disturbance on Aug. 6 in the area of Lower Water Street.
Officers found an unresponsive man on the boardwalk who was taken to hospital where he later died.
The provincial medical examiner conducted an autopsy and ruled his death a homicide.
The victim was identified as 26-year-old Davelle Rodney Vance Desmond.
Police say a youth turned himself in on Wednesday, and investigators are asking anyone with information or video from the area of the incident to contact them.
