75-year-old dies in motorcycle accident west of Calgary

A 75-year-old has died in a motorcycle accident near Lower Springbank Road and Township Road 242.

On May 16, Cochrane RCMP reported they were at the scene of serious motor vehicle collision which temporarily blocked traffic.

After clearing the scene, police verified  the preliminary investigation suggested that a motorcycle was attempting to pass a vehicle and, while merging back in, clipped the vehicle, resulting in a loss of control of the motorcycle that ultimately lead to the death of the 75-year-old resident of Rocky View County.

Alberta RCMP sent their thoughts to the family and friends of the deceased.
