Approximately five million bees were buzzing around Guelph Line north of Dundas yesterday.
Crates carrying the bees fell off the back of a truck and into the road, according to Halton police.
Several fire trucks and police cars were on the scene to clean up.

Beekeepers arrived to help in the clean up effort and residents were advised to avoid the area until about 9:45 a.m. Police and keepers are planning on leaving some bee crates behind so straggler insects can find their way back. The crates will be collected after the bees return.
