Two additional pieces of pipe from the San Diego Water Authority arrived last night in order to repair the remaining hotpots in Calgary's water main feeder.

Today marks two weeks since a water main feeder in Calgary burst resulting in the current water crisis in Calgary and its surrounding communities, like Airdrie. Airdrie remains under a level four outdoor water restriction.

Calgary officials noted that all five remaining hotspots have been excavated and inspection is yet to be completed. Local shops have been sandblasting and coating the new pieces pipe, preparing it to be installed.

Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek said timelines are expected to be revised but an update will be made later this week.

Gondek noted residents have saved 600 sized Olympic pools of water since June 5.
