Southbound Highway 2 remains closed after an early morning accident near Nanton.
RCMP said they were on scene at a serious accident north of the town at 5:40 a.m. on Aug. 14.
Social media reports say that a semi-truck overturned. One person on Facebook said the truck was carrying fuel.
RCMP advise drivers to take an alternate route and avoid the area.
No further information is available and police said an update would be sent when the lanes reopen.
The northbound lanes of Highway 2 are not affected.
