The waterskiing world has arrived in Foothills County.
Action is underway at the IWWF World Under 17 Waterskiing Championships at the Predator Bay Water Ski Club in Foothills County with two days of competition left on the man-made lakes just south of the Bow River.
The competition, which features local competitor Sofia Pelkey amongst the Canadian contingent, gets underway at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday with the girls and boys slalom, trick and jump finals to conclude the seven-day event.
