Golf clubhouse in Acme burns down

A call about a structure fire was received by the Acme, Carbon, and Linden Fire Departments at 4 a.m. on July 31 at the Acme Golf Course along Highway 575 in the Village of Acme.

The clubhouse of the Acme Golf Course went up in flames in the morning hours of July 31, confirmed the Village of Acme via a Facebook post.

A call about a structure fire was received by the Acme, Carbon, and Linden Fire Departments at 4 a.m. on July 31 at the Acme Golf Course along Highway 575 in the Village of Acme, located north of Beiseker in Kneehill County.

Flames were reportedly showing upon arrival.

"The crews worked diligently in their fire response to limit the damage from extending," the Village of Acme posted online.

A Fire Safety Codes Officer will be conducting the investigation in the next few days and no cause is known at this time.

"The Village of Acme and Acme Golf Course will be working together in the coming days to have more information to the community and its members," the Village of Acme wrote.
