An autopsy conducted today on a St. Albert teen who was attacked on a walk in northwest Edmonton has confirmed that the youth died from a stab wound.
"The manner of death is homicide," says an Edmonton Police Service (EPS) press release.
“This is a tragic loss that has impacted the whole community, and our hearts go out to the victim’s family, friends, classmates and others who have been affected by the senseless death of a young person,” said EPS Homicide Staff Sergeant Colin Leathem in the release. “We want to reassure the community that the suspect has been apprehended and there is no risk to public safety.”
The teen has been identified as Grade 9 Lorne Akins student Broden Radomske.
He was on a walk with his mother when he was attacked. Police have charged Keith James Landry, 40, with second-degree murder.
