MORINVILLE, Alta — Police are seeking the public’s help to find two teenage girls who have gone missing from a Sturgeon County treatment centre.

The Morinville RCMP put out a notice May 29 asking for tips on the location of two teenage girls: Jay-Lynn Cochrane, 13, of Sturgeon County, and Tyre Marie Danais, 15, of High Prairie.

Cochrane and Danais were reported missing from the Nightwinds Treatment Centre (which is located near Busby and Legal) on May 29, said Sgt. Lew Simms of the Morinville RCMP. The two left the centre together and were believed to be travelling to Edmonton. Simms said RCMP wish to locate Cochrane and Danais to ensure they are safe, and are working with Edmonton police to find them.

Cochrane is described as standing 5’1” with medium-coloured skin, brown hair, brown eyes, and a slim build, weighing 105 pounds. Danais is 5’2”, 185 pounds, with a stocky build, brown eyes, brown hair, and medium coloured skin. Both may have dyed their hair.

Anyone with information on the locations of Cochrane and Danais should call Morinville RCMP at 780-939-1600, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or online at www.P3Tips.com.
