Alberta NDP leadership candidates will be discussing rural issues in southern Alberta.
The "Rural Issues & Priorities" forum will be held in Claresholm on Saturday, April 13 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. It will be hosted by the Livingstone-Macleod Alberta NDP constituency association and led by Sarah Elmeligi, MLA for Banff-Kananaskis.
The panel discussion is set to include all Alberta NDP leadership candidates: MLAs Jodi Calahoo Stonehouse, Kathleen Ganley and Sarah Hoffman, Alberta Federation of Labour leader Gil McGowan and former Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi.
Leadership candidates have previously spoken with the Western Wheel about rural issues, including Ganley, Nenshi, McGowan and former candidate Rakhi Pancholi, who dropped out of the leadership race this week.
The panel discussion will be held at the Claresholm Community Centre. The Livingstone-Macleod Alberta NDP constituency association encourages attendees to email their ideas and suggestions before April 6 to [email protected].
