SWAN HILLS – Lucas McNeil, raised in Barrhead, and Mikayla Martel lived next door to the house that exploded in Swan Hills on Dec. 1 at 4 in the morning.

“Oh, it is a devastation. I can't even begin to tell you what the inside of their home looks like,” said Clough.

“They recently just purchased this house (which happens to be Lucas’s childhood home) and were just starting their life together in it.”

Their house in inhabitable because of the damage.

Any insurance claims will take time to process, and these people are stuck with few options with the holidays around the corner.

Clough posted a video of the damage to the house McNeil and Martel had spent so much time renovating.

McNeil and Martel were sleeping when the blast occurred within 50 feet from their bedroom window.

A GoFundMe has been organized to help the owners of the home and has raised just over $5,500.
