ST. PAUL – A St. Paul RCMP officer facing child exploitation charges is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 23, 2025.

Evan Peacock, 33, was first charged in April 2024 by ALERT's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit with possession, distribution, and accessing child pornography. He was released under court-imposed conditions and suspended from duty with pay.

In June 2024, the Alberta RCMP’s Eastern Alberta District General Investigative Section launched a separate investigation into Peacock for allegedly soliciting sex with underage females online.

Peacock was charged with one count of child luring, and another charge for failing to comply with release order conditions following the April investigation.

Peacock remains in custody.
