LAC LA BICHE, Alta. - On July 22, Lac La Biche RCMP located a deceased person in the Lac La Biche area. An autopsy was performed and confirmation of the identity of the individual has been made by the medical examiner.
On Sept. 1, Lac La Biche RCMP were advised the deceased person was 46-year-old Thomas Nixon.
"The circumstances surrounding Thomas’ death are non-criminal and no further details will be provided," according to police.
Nixon had been reported missing on Nov. 16, 2021. At the time, RCMP noted there was concern for Nixon's well-being. He was in the Lac La Biche area for work and was from Chetwynd, B.C.
Lac La Biche RCMP send their condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
