RCMP looking for missing mother and daughter from Nanton

Police asking the public for help to locate a mother and daughter that was last seen in Nanton on Aug. 22.

Police in Nanton are asking the public for help to locate a mother and daughter who have been missing for several days. 

RCMP say 24-year-old Desiree De Avila and her three-year-old daughter Chastity De Avila were last seen in Nanton on Aug. 22 at 9:41 a.m. 

Desiree is 5-foot-4 and 116 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, and Chastity is just over three feet tall and 35 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The pair may have been going to Castlegar, B.C., and driving a silver 2011 Kia Rio with the Alberta licence plate CSJ 0467, police said.
