Okotoks RCMP is urging residents to be alert in the wake of multiple thefts from individuals this weekend who were walking at night.
As per an Oct. 2 press release, two recent incidents saw individuals approached and robbed of items, including cell phones and wallets.
RCMP believe the incidents may be related due to the nature of the thefts and their proximity, both taking place near Milligan Drive a couple of blocks apart, as well as the similar descriptions of the suspects with three youth suspects in both thefts.
The three suspects are described as 15-16 year old males, with heights in the 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-5 range.
Suspect 1 is described as wearing a black face mask, black pants and a black hoodie with a dark complexion. Suspect 2 is described as Caucasian, wearing a flat brimmed hat and all black clothing with fluffy brown hair. Suspect 3 is described as Caucasian, with short hair and wearing grey skinny jeans.
The release added it is believed these suspects may possibly be armed. If seen, do not approach and call 911. Police reminds citizens to be mindful of their personal safety, walk with others when possible and maintain vigilance of their surroundings. No injuries were reported from the victims of these occurrences.
Okotoks RCMP continues to investigate these incidents and is asking anyone with any information to contact the Okotoks detachment at 403-995-6400 or your local police.
