COUTTS, Alta. — RCMP say "further action" is being taken on a convoy of trucks and other vehicles that has been blocking a major United States border crossing.
Many officers and provincial sheriffs are at the blockade at Coutts, Alta., talking with demonstrators, some who have driven away.
An RCMP helicopter is also flying overhead.
Mounties say the illegal blockade has been impeding access for emergency vehicles and affecting the flow of goods and services.
They say they are prepared to make arrests and tow vehicles.
The blockade started Saturday in conjunction with other convoys across the country to protest COVID-19 measures.
