Following a raid on a Rocky View residence, the Calgary Police Service has charged four individuals in relation to a drug-trafficking operation in Calgary and surrounding area, resulting in 37 charges laid.
In February of 2024, District 4 Operations Team (DOT) investigated two individuals who were believed to be involved in activities consistent with drug-trafficking.
Between March and May of 2024, it is believed that the suspects were connected to multiple residences.
On Friday, May 17, 2024, search warrants were executed in the community of Pantatella and in Rocky View County.
During the execution of the warrants, the following items were seized:
· eight cell phones
· $10,255 in cash
· 421 grams of cocaine
· 658 grams of methamphetamine
· 1595 grams of fentanyl
· 242 pills of hydromorphone
· 703 pills of percocet
· 497 pills of xanax
As a result, four men were arrested and charged.
Syed Ammar Haid Jafary, 33, of Calgary, has been charged with:
· One count of production of fentanyl
· One count of production of cocaine
· Six counts of possession for the purpose of drug-trafficking
· One count of proceeds of crime over $5,000
· Three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
Jafary will next appear in court on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Khushmanpreet Singh, 22, of Calgary, has been charged with:
· One count of production of fentanyl
· One count of production of cocaine
· Six counts of possession for the purpose of drug-trafficking
Singh will next appear in court on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Anikait Kumar, 21, of Calgary, has been charged with:
· One count of production of fentanyl
· One count of production of cocaine
· Six counts of possession for the purpose of drug-trafficking
· One count of proceeds of crime over $5,000
Kumar will next appear in court on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Gurinder Singh, 35, of Calgary, has been charged with:
· One count of production of fentanyl
· One count of production of cocaine
· Six counts of possession for the purpose of drug-trafficking
Singh will next appear in court on Friday, June 21, 2024.
