A High River man has been charged with three counts related to child pornography, RCMP announced on May 30.

In April of this year, High River RCMP, with the assistance of the Southern Alberta Integrated Child Exploitation Unit, entered into an investigation involving the distribution of child pornography.

As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was conducted at a High River address on May 28 and a male was arrested as a result.

Numerous electronics were seized during the search warrant, and the investigation is continuing with analysis of those devices.

Aaron Walton, 33, a resident of High River, has been charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and distributing child pornography.

Walton was taken before a justice of the peace and released from custody with conditions. He will appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Okotoks on June 21.
