Soul superstar Leon Bridges will perform three concerts at Spruce Meadows in early July.

A third Leon Bridges performance has been added to Spruce Meadows’ summer concert lineup following unprecedented demand in a pre-sale last week.

The soul superstar will now appear on July 4, 5 and 6 at the Spruce Meadows Equi-Plex, which has a maximum audience of just 2,000.

Tickets for all three Leon Bridges concerts will go on sale Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. at sprucemeadows.com/concerts.

Tickets for all other Spruce Meadows Concerts Equi-Plex shows — City and Colour (Solo) on June 14 and 15, Dean Brody on June 7 and Metric on June 28 — will also go on sale at that time.

Tickets to see Canadian country superstar Brett Kissel on Canada Day also go on sale on Feb. 14.

“We were blown away by the extraordinary level of demand to see Leon Bridges at Spruce Meadows this July,” said Jana Campbell, Spruce Meadows’ ticketing and concerts lead. “We knew his shows would be popular  —where else in the world can you catch such a huge star with fewer than 2,000 other people.

“Plus, it’s Leon’s first time in Calgary. I’ve seen him perform live elsewhere, he puts on an exceptional show. Because these concerts were designed be to a once-in-a-lifetime, intimate experience, tickets are, of course, limited. By adding this third show, we are delighted to extend the opportunity to include as many people as we can accommodate.”
