BARRHEAD/WESTLOCK, Alta. - Three people are declared deceased following a motor vehicle collision about 20 minutes out of Barrhead on the morning of Oct. 3.
The accident occurred at about 7:45 a.m. on Highway 654, just east of the Highway 777 intersection in Westlock County.
In an RCMP media release, RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Deanna Fontaine said their preliminary investigation shows that a pickup was heading westbound on Highway 654 when it crossed the centre line and ran head-on into a eastward travelling SUV.
