At approximately 7:56 a.m. Nov. 24, calls started pouring in to Taber-Vauxhall RCMP of ostriches running loose around Highway 36 and Township Road 94.
Throughout the morning officers worked with the farmer to locate and wrangle the 20 escaped birds. All but a few have been captured by 12:30 p.m., but unfortunately one was hit and killed on the roadway.
