BOWDEN — The 2020 graduates of Bowden Grandview School were finally able to formally celebrate their 13-year achievement.

The cap and gown ceremony was held in the morning of Oct. 24 and the formal-wear ceremony was held that evening.

Greetings and congratulations were given to the grads by several dignitaries including Red Deer- Mountain View MP Earl Dreeshen, Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA Devin Dreeshen, Red Deer County councillor and Chinook’s Edge School Division (CESD) trustee Connie Huelsman, Town of Bowden Mayor Rob Stuart and CESD associate superintendent Karyn Barber.

“2020 has been very challenging and this day definitely looked a little different than usual. However, we were pleased that we were able to celebrate our class of 2020 and still ensure all COVID-19 Alberta Health Service protocols were followed,” a Bowden Grandview School statement said.

“We greatly appreciated the support of our parents and staff. Special thank you to our dignitaries and the greetings that they brought.

“Most importantly, congratulations to the Bowden Grandview School Class of 2020.”
