BOWDEN — The suspect charged with first-degree murder in the death of a young Bowden mother is scheduled to be back before court on April 26.

The first court appearance for Ross Arran McInnes, 27, was scheduled for March 29 in Didsbury provincial court.

The case was set over to April 26.

McInnnes is charged with first-degree murder in regard to the sudden death of 25-year-old Kirsten (Gardner) O’Donoghue in a Bowden apartment building the evening of March 22.

She is the mother of two-year-old twin boys, Braxton and Jensen.

A family member set up a GoFundMe page shortly after her passing with a goal of raising up to $60,000 to help cover the cost of raising the boys. By April 1, that fundraiser had surpassed its goal, having raised $61,125.

All monies raised will be put in trust on behalf of their children’s father, Justin O'Donoghue.
