BOWDEN — Residents may soon be able to walk specially built trails in Bowden.
Greg Skotheim, Bowden’s chief administrative officer, says the town’s three and five-year plans call for such a system to be constructed in the community.
In fact, Skotheim says town officials are looking at including initial construction of that system as soon as in the 2022 budget.
During an interview, Skotheim was asked if there are currently any trails in Bowden.
“Not really; more sidewalks. But we’re going to be looking at starting a basic trail system,” he said, adding that some residents have been calling for that to be done.
He said so far, the cost of a trail system has not been determined, but he’s confident it would be a welcome addition to the community.
“You can’t go wrong with putting in a trail in a small town, something everybody can use,” Skotheim said.
