BOWDEN — The Bowden Daze Rodeo now has a new feature – its first ever Rodeo Queen contest, now underway.

Bowden Rodeo Queen coordinator Randene St. Amour says four ladies are competing for the crown: Hailey Milligan, Tyler Jamieson, Ashley Gillespie and Rae-Lynn Dixon.

The public speaking and fashion show part of the competition took place on June 10.

The horsemanship portion occurred on June 17 at Marshall's feedlot arena.

Scheduled next were personal interviews and then the exam portion.

The queen will be announced and crowned during the Bowden Daze Rodeo on July 14.

St. Amour is excited about the competition.

“It's the first ever for the Bowden Ag Society and is a good addition now that the rodeo is a pro rodeo,” she wrote in an email.
