BOWDEN — Olds RCMP is asking for the public's help to solve an incident of vandalism in Bowden.

During the morning of Sept. 17, Olds RCMP received a complaint that front windows of the Paterson Community Centre in Bowden had been broken.

It’s believed the damage occurred the previous night. A Paterson Community Centre social post estimates the damage occurred between 8 p.m. and 8:30 a.m.

“The source/cause of the damage is currently unknown, but is under investigation,” Olds RCMP Cpl. Leif Svendsen wrote in an email.

“It is believed that the damage may have been caused by a vehicle spinning donuts in the parking lot and throwing rocks up towards the building.”

“So upsetting that someone would do this to a community-owned hall,” an FCSS Bowden social media post said.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Olds RCMP detachment at 403-556-3324 or to report it via Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
