BOWDEN - The King’s Bench jury trial for a man facing a first-degree murder charge following the death of a 25-year-old woman in Bowden in 2021 has been put over until February 2024, court officials said.
Ross Arran McInnes was scheduled to go to trial in Calgary starting March 6, but the trial will now take place starting on Feb. 5, 2024.
Police responded to a Bowden residence on March 22, 2021 where they found Kirsten (Gardner) O’Donoghue deceased. McInnes was arrested at the scene.
The accused was 28 years old at the time of his arrest. He has been remanded in custody.
Court officials did not immediately respond to a request for information on why the trial has been postponed.
