CARSTAIRS - The Town of Carstairs issued building permits for projects valued at nearly $34 million in 2024, according to a council report.
The Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024 report includes permits for family dwellings, additions and renovations, decks and ramps, and residential garages.
A total of 63 permits were issued for single family dwellings, valued at $24.3 million.
Eight multi-family dwelling permits were issued, valued at $5.3 million.
The total dwelling permit construction value in 2024 was $29.2 million, up from $19.4 million in 2023.
Five commercial permits were issued for construction called at $227,000, compared with five permits issued in 2023 valued at $7.1 million.
Ninety-three additions and renovations permits were issued, valued at $2.4 million.
Twenty-six decks and ramp permits were issued valued at $139,844.
Six residential garage permits were issued, valued at $221,000.
In all, 268 permits were issued, with a total construction value of $33,965,981.
