CARSTAIRS — Two male suspects from Calgary were busted by Didsbury RCMP following a report that they had been attempting to open the doors of parked vehicles.

On the morning of Sunday, April 19, members of the local Citizens on Patrol group informed the RCMP that the two males had been seen checking vehicle door handles, police said in a press release dated Thursday, April 23.

“Police responded and found both males to be in possession of what is believed to be methamphetamine,” a portion of the statement reads.

The suspects were arrested and subsequently released from custody on several conditions, including staying away from Carstairs, police said.

“Didsbury RCMP would like to thank the Citizens on Patrol and anyone for reporting suspicious activity.”

Members of the public who have information related to this incident — or any other crimes — are encouraged to contact the Didsbury RCMP detachment at 403-335-3381 or their local department.
