CARSTAIRS - The Carstairs Skating Club Carnival 2025 saw family, friends and other supporters enjoy performances from the club’s many talented skaters in the Carstairs Memorial Complex on Sunday.
This year’s show was titled ‘Broadway Show’ and featured solo and group skaters dressed in costumers from famous plays.
The Star 4 Synchro team performed ‘Wonka’, CanSkate Red performed ‘West Side Story’, CanSkate Yellow performed ‘Lion King’, CanSkate Green performed ‘Beetlejuice, CanSkate Purple performed “Aladdin’, StarSkate performed ‘Gatsby’, CanSkate Blue performed ‘Mamma Mia’ and StarSkate performed ‘Tina’.
Following the intermission, Star 8 Synchro performed ‘School of Good & Evil’, Modified StarSkate performed ‘Wicked’, CanSkate Green performed ‘Wizard of Oz’, CanSkate Yellow performed ‘Oklahoma’, CanSkate Red performed ‘Grease’, Intro StarSkate performed ‘Hairspray’, CanSkate Blue performed ‘Oliver’, Star 6 Synchro performed ‘Tarzan’, and StarSkate performed ‘Annie’.
There were also many solo performances during the 90-minute carnival.
This year’s coaching staff was Amber Dubitz, Charlsey Whittemore, Jenna Cullum, Kendra Dowden, Kelly Kirby and Callie Manko.
