CARSTAIRS - A Manitoba suspect has been charged in a series of break-ins in the High River and Okotoks areas as well as Carstairs prior to Christmas.
On Dec. 17, Didsbury RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter to Tim Hortons in Carstairs.
The RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit was asked to assist with the investigation.
According to an RCMP press release issued Tuesday evening, during the course of the investigation, police believed the suspect was also responsible for a series of similar break and enters to businesses in the High River and Okotoks areas around the same time.
On Dec. 22, the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit located and arrested a 35 year-old resident of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
A search warrant was also executed on a residence in Calgary.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted out of British Columbia for similar offences.
Corey Pashe has been charged with the following:• two counts of break and enter and commit theft:
• two counts of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence;
• failing to comply with undertaking;
• possession of break-in tools; and
• wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
