CARSTAIRS - Sixteen teams of junior curlers under the age of 17 took part in the March 23 junior curling bonspiel.
Teams came from Cochrane, Crossfield, Didsbury, Innisfail and Sylvan Lake. Carstairs had six teams in event.
The Ben Meyers team was undefeated along with Carter Jochem's team, and Austin Richardson team. All Carstairs teams won at least one of their three games.
“We have great community support for our junior program, including ArkTon Steel providing a pizza lunch for all Junior curlers,” said co-organizer Paula Richardson.
“This is a fundraiser for our junior curling program, with many local businesses donating items for our raffle and we of course would like to thank the Elks for their ongoing support of junior curling.”
