CARSTAIRS - The Mountain View Football Association's bantam Tigers have had a tough go at the start of this season.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, the team headed to Hanna to play the Hawks.

The team lost 66-14.

The Tigers had its season opener on Sept. 7 at the Carstairs Memorial Arena field.

The local team went up against the Junior Rebels from Rocky Mountain House.

Despite the heat – temperatures at game time were in the high 20s – the players battled a very close and exciting game.

In the end, the Junior Rebels came out on top with a 24-19 win.

“Both teams displayed incredible sportsmanship and determination,” said Tiger spokesperson Christine Lo.
