Qualifying central Albertans are among those who will be receiving a UFA Co-operative Ltd. patronage check next month.
Olds, Carstairs, Innisfail and Red Deer County locations are among UFA’s network of 115 petroleum locations and 34 farm and ranch supply stores.
The co-operative announced Wednesday that UFA members will be paid collectively $32.5 million for their 2024 purchases in certain categories of product.
Patronage payments will be based on the same calculations as the 2024 dividend:
• 6.5 cents per litre on Dieselex Gold;
• 5.5 cents per litre on diesel;
• one per cent per litre on gasoline; and
• three per cent on other purchases made in 2024. Exclusions on other purchases include: fuel, select Micro Technologies Feedlot Solutions products, select petroleum products, crop nutrition and leased purchases.
Members must have spent at least $5,000 combined in any of the categories to qualify for patronage.
After a patronage dividend is declared at the annual general meeting, payment is issued in April.
Founded in 1909, UFA is an Alberta-based agricultural co-operative with more than 120,000 member-owners. While the majority of UFA’s operations are in Alberta, there are also a handful of locations in Saskatchewan.
Other Alberta locations include Airdrie, Barrhead, Athabasca, Beiseker, High River, Lac La Biche, Morinville, St. Paul and Westlock.
