• Cowboy Trail Market in Mountain View County closing for the season effective Sept. 16
"Due to the provincial state of emergency, we are closing Cowboy Trail Market for the season as of today. We want to sincerely thank all the customers and vendors who supported us so well in our first year and look forward to seeing you back at the market next spring."
• Town of Olds cancels Alberta Culture Days events
"Due to the Provincial State of Public Health Emergency, all Alberta Culture Days activities planned for Sept. 17-19 have been cancelled and rescheduled for June 17-19, 2022."
• Oldstoberfest in Olds cancelled
The rodeo and associated events - excluding the Picket Fence Market - scheduled for Sept. 17 and 18 has been cancelled.
"After assessing the current situation of our Province and taking much consideration into the outcome of hosting Oldstoberfest 2021, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our event. The decision was not made lightly."

• Didsbury Memorial Complex grand opening events postponed
At a special council meeting on Sept. 16, the Town of Didsbury's council decided to postpone all events planned for Saturday, Sept. 18 for the Didsbury memorial Complex grand opening.
"After considering the state of public health emergency declared by the province of Alberta on September 15, 2021, combined with extensive new restrictions that came into effect on September 16 and will come into effect on September 20, council felt that the right decision was to postpone this celebration to a future date," states a press release issued by the town on Sept. 16.
