CREMONA - The Cremona Coyotes beat the Siksika Buffaloes in overtime during a high scoring game on the road Saturday.
The teams are in the AA Men’s Ranchland Hockey League.
The Coyotes, in their first season in the league, visited the Siksika Deerfoot Sportsplex for the matchup.
The Cremona team got three goals from Stefan Lachapelle, including the overtime winner, two from Justin Hessian and singles from Vladyslav Yefremov, Ryan Chambers and Braden Plaschewsky.
In the end, the Buffaloes could only manage seven goals, giving the Coyotes the 8-7 win.
Coyote netminder Brian Woodard stopped 38 of 45 shots for the win.
The Coyotes now have a 2-2 record, including a 13-5 win over the Piikani Reign on Oct. 19.
The Coyotes play host to the Fort Macleod Mustangs at the Cremona Ag Society Community area on Saturday, Nov. 2. That game starts at 8 p.m.
