CREMONA - A 64-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman have been found deceased on a rural property outside Cremona, police said Wednesday, April 7.

The male died by suicide and the woman’s cause of death is undetermined, RCMP Cpl. Tammy Keibel said.

Police responded to the rural residence at about 7 p.m. on March 31 after receiving a 911 call.

The male and female were both found deceased at the location.

Police are not saying what, if any, relationship the two may have had to each other.

They were both residents of the property, she said.

The person who made the 911 call had gone to the property to check on the welfare of the residents, she said.

No suspects are being sought by police and there is no risk to the public, she said.

An autopsy was conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on April 1.

“The preliminary findings indicate the manner of death of the 64-year-old male (was) suicide,” she said. “The manner of death of the 65-year-old female was undetermined. There will be no charges as result of this investigation.”

Police do not plan to release further information about the deceased persons’ identity or the circumstances surrounding the deaths, she said.
