DIDSBURY — The Mountain View Colts are in Rocky Mountain House tonight (Dec. 17) to take on the Rams in Heritage Junior B Hockey League action.
The Colts have not lost a game since Nov. 27, winning five straight against north and south division opponents. The team’s current record of 17 wins and eight losses puts them in a tie for second place in the north division with Sylvan Lake, two points behind Cochrane.
The Colts are coming off recent wins against Strathmore and Three Hills.
On Wednesday, the Colts beat the Thrashers 6-2 in Three Hills, getting goals from Nate McNeely (assist Austin Corsiatto), Jordan Saunders (assist Steven Bell), Sam Kolke (assists Bell and Paton Rothenbusch), Corsiatto (assists McNeely and Ryan Bauer), Carter Layden (assists Saunders and Corsiatto) and Saunders (Corsiatto).
Netminder Chance Griffith stopped 34 of 36 shots for the win.
The Colts defeated the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 5-1 on Dec. 11. Griffith also got the win in that game.
The Colts last played the Rocky Rams on Dec. 3, coming away with a 7-3 win at the Memorial Complex.
Tonight’s game in Rocky is the Colts’ last matchup before the Christmas break. The team’s next home is at the Complex on Jan. 5 against Sylvan Lake.
