DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts hope to extend their current winning streak to three games with a matchup against the Flyers in High River tonight (Dec. 10).
The game will be the first of four straight road games for the Colts following two recent wins.
The Colts beat the Rocky Rams 7-3 at the Didsbury Memorial Complex on Dec. 3.
In that game the Colts got three goals from Jordan Saunders and singles from Logan Richards, Simon Leishner, Austin Corsiatto and Paton Rothenbusch.
Netminder Chance Griffith stopped 40 of 43 shots.
The following night the Colts got goals from Nate McNeely and Jordan Saunders in a 2-0 shutout win against Airdrie.
Netminder Griffith again got the win, stopping 52 of 52 shots.
The Colts game against the High River Flyers on Friday will be followed by a match Saturday in Strathmore against the Wheatland Kings.
The team will then be in Three Hills on Dec. 15 and back in Rocky Mountain House on Dec. 17 to wrap up 2021.
The Colts next home at the Memorial Complex is against the Sylvan Lake Wrangers on Jan. 5.
The Colts are currently in fourth place in the Heritage Junior B Hockey League north division with a 14-8 record.
