DIDSBURY – A dinner theatre being staged in Didsbury is raising funds for prostate cancer awareness and research.

Mountain View Theatre Projects has teamed up with Rural Alberta Ride for Dad for The Senator Wore Pantyhose with one showing left on Dec. 14 at the Didsbury Elks Hall.

The theatre production by William Van Zant and Jane Milmore is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French Inc.

Actor Tony Silvestre said the comedy contains adult humour that may be offensive to some audiences. The play revolves around a failing presidential campaign.

Not wanting to spoil the plot, Silvestre said it’s a timely play with the U.S. election having just happened.

Rural Alberta Ride for Dad’s Gil Enns says the theatre group’s productions are a “perfect fit” for his organization that raises money to fight prostate cancer.

The two groups teamed up for the first time last year to put on Love, Sex and the IRS.

Tickets are available at GTA in Didsbury.
