DIDSBURY — The Didsbury Fire Department responded to more than a dozen motor vehicle collisions in the last quarter of 2021, according to a report presented to town council in recent weeks.
The department responded to a total of 58 calls between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, with 23 of the calls in town and 26 in the surrounding rural area.
Ethan Gorner, the Town of Didsbury's chief administrative officer, presented the statistics to council in his monthly report on Jan. 11, with council receiving the report as information.
Fire department members responded to the following calls: 13 alarms, five emergency medical service calls, one gas leak, one hazardous materials, nine mutual aid (with other area fire departments), 13 motor vehicle collisions, three outside fires, one structure fire, four vehicle fires and seven wildland fires.
