DIDSBURY - Heritage Junior B Hockey League (HJHL) team representatives will be meeting this week to consider options for the 2020-2021 season, which is currently on hold due to COVID0-19 pandemic restrictions, say officials.
The league includes the Mountain View Colts, which plays in the north division.
“The representatives will be getting together on Jan. 14 to discuss whether or not a schedule can be put together,” said league spokesperson Scott Fisher. “Games early in January have been cancelled and there’s not going to be games in the rest of January either.
“Whether or not there will be games in February, I guess we will find out on the 14th.”
The 2020-2021 regular season got under way in October, with the Colts playing four games for a 1-2-1 record. The league was paused in November due to the pandemic.
The Colts usually play out of the Didsbury Memorial Arena, but played games earlier this season at the Carstairs Memorial Arena because the Didsbury rink was under renovation.
